Congratulations to K-9 Handler Susan Vieth and K-9s Cranny and Biba for their certification in land cadaver and water cadaver. Additionally, congratulations to Acting Sergeant Joan Brehm and K-9 Sula for their certification in land cadaver, water cadaver, and trailing. Both handlers and their K-9s certified with the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) during the week of October 10, 2011. NAPWDA maintains rigorous certification standards that are recognized across North America among law enforcement agencies who request K-9 services for a variety of situations. K-9 teams are required to re-certify annually with NAPWDA in order to maintain the validity of the credentials obtained through the association. For more information, please contact Acting Sergeant Joan Brehm.
